My name is Shenna and I have PCOS. PCOS is the leading cause of infertility. It affects 1 out of 4 women. My husband and I started trying for a child when I was 24. After 3 years of negative tests, we become desperate and sought out help. Thankfully upon seeking help I was finally gaining answers and was diagnosed with PCOS. The dr tried me on clomid. I didn’t respond on 150 mg and the medication made me so, so sick. Despite how sick the treatment made me, I continued to try until my body stopped responding to Clomid. We took a 9 month break and my dr changed me over to Letrozole. Upon my first cycle with Letrozole we FINALLY fell pregnant and was so over joyed with excitement that it really didn’t feel real. We got our proof of pregnancy only to find out a week later, we were getting the scariest news of our lives. We lost our baby. I’ve been on treatments since without luck. Our dr said that time is running out as I am now 30 and IVF seems to be our only option now. We want nothing more than to have a child to grow with, love, nurture and raise. We are trying this fundraiser as a final attempt before giving up and accepting that we may never become parents. We hope that this works and we thank you so very much for your time.
